We have prepared a few accommodation and dining recommendations for visitors.
In addition to that, you can also benefit from a number of exclusive offers from our partners upon showing your Grasgrün ticket.
Have a look around!

Historical group and conference hotel

Situated near the Töpfemarkt – the oldest part of Meiningen – one can find attractive and modern rooms (cells) with elevator access within the historic walls of this hotel which is not only ideal for groups and conferences, but also an ideal destination for cyclists, solo travelers and all other occasions.

Verlies Pub – enjoy drinks in a historical prison
Transformed from a former "place of discomfiture", this cozy pub with its beer garden and outdoor seating overlooking the water, offers live music every Friday and Saturday from 9pm with your Guinness, whisky or rum. For a culinary experience of a very different kind, we offer a hearty "prison meal" in our separate historical cell block.

Monte Christo – Skyline-Restaurant
With a spectacular view over the city from its terrace and its show kitchen, the Skyline Restaurant Monte Christo holds a very special attraction.

Henneberger Haus

Located in the city center, close to Castle Elisabethenburg and the famous Meiningen theatre, is Henneberger Haus.
The oldest parts of the building date back to the 16th century and houses four cozy, country-style guest rooms.
Away from the every-day hustle and bustle, our restaurant provides an atmosphere of soothing comfort and in summer, our beer garden is just the spot to relax.

Situated right in the heart of Meiningen in a newly designed traffic-calmed area, the hotel "An der Kapelle" awaits its guests.
Enjoy culinary delights and exquisite wines in our restaurant. The rustic ambiance of the vaulted cellar is ideal for tourists and business travelers alike.

Camping with a view.
Our camping site is open all season (April 1st – October 31st). Its central location makes it an ideal starting point for day and hiking trips to the Thuringian Forest as well as nearby Rhön and Grabfeld areas.
